My mother perished in the civil war her dying wish was for me to find the Firebird. As a witch, I grew up hearing fairy tales of a great and dangerous hunt to find the bird, but I never believed the bird was real until I found my mother’s letter. Now, it’s my turn to join the perilous quest and honor my mother’s legacy. But thanks to my bitter ex-husband’s tip, the fallen are on my trail. It's a race against time because I only have three days to find the bird. If Apollo and his band of fallen angels capture the Firebird before I do, then the world could perish. After all, they’re determined to enact revenge against God for being kicked from heaven’s hallowed gates. Our world is their battleground because it’s where God’s word is law. 
 
Roei feels guilty for being partly responsible for my parent’s deaths. He’s decided to tag along on my journey once he knew the fallen were after me. He’s always been a voice for peace but being this close to the hunter is difficult when my own feelings are conflicted, and yet, I can’t stay away. My mother was my most important person and without her, I’ve felt lost. As a witch, I must watch my back. Finding the Firebird won’t be an easy task with the fallen searching and hunters marking my every move. I refuse to allow the worlds to fall into darkness.
